Thanks to your support, the impossible has already been achieved: in the final hours before departure, Vlad Krasnov’s deportation was stopped. This gave him a second chance to remain in the United States and continue his fight for freedom and safety.
He is now in immigration detention in California. To secure his release, a new motion must be filed. $7,000 is needed to cover legal expenses.
Vlad has an autoimmune condition (vitiligo), and the stress and conditions of detention are worsening his health, increasing the risks.
He has already exhausted all of his personal resources. Any contribution makes a difference.
If you are able to support him — please do so now.
Vlad's personal statement
Hi, this is Vladislav Krasnov. I’m writing to you from an immigration detention center in California.
First of all, I want to say a huge thank you. Because of you, I was able to raise funds for an attorney and file a motion to reopen my case. You quite literally saved my life.
My deportation was scheduled for March 8. I was already at the airport, in handcuffs, about to board the plane. At the last moment, the flight was canceled due to a technical issue, and those few hours gave my attorney, Wallie Mason, a chance to file another emergency motion, which was granted just before departure. That is why I am able to write this message to you now.
Honestly, it’s very hard to describe that feeling. When you are already standing in front of the plane, knowing you are being sent somewhere you face persecution, and suddenly everything stops at the last moment — it feels like a second chance at life. And I got that chance because of you.
Now I need help again.
To avoid being placed back in immediate deportation proceedings and to protect my health, I need to file a motion for release from detention. For this, I need to raise $7,000 in legal expenses.
I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition — vitiligo. Constant stress and the conditions of detention are accelerating its progression and may lead to more serious consequences, including other autoimmune diseases. With each day I remain here, the risk only increases.
It is very difficult for me to ask for help again, but right now I simply have no other choice. All my resources have already been exhausted during the earlier stages of my case. If you are able to support me, any amount makes a difference. You already gave me a chance once. And I truly believe that with your help, I will be able to see this through to the end. Thank you to everyone who has already helped, and to those who respond now. I will not forget this.
And when I achieve justice, I will continue helping others — as I have done before and continue to do even here.
No to war.
